The Department of Economics at UC Santa Barbara invites applications for the Richard F. Aster Jr. Chair in Economics. The appointment will be made at the associate or full professor level to a distinguished scholar in Economics. The position is open to candidates in all fields of economics with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2019.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by the time of application, with preference for candidates who currently hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated research program that that advances the study of economics, and a record of teaching and mentoring.
A complete application will include a CV and a letter of intent. We will begin reviewing completed applications on November 6, 2018, and will continue until the position is filled. For full consideration, all application materials must be completed on or before November 5, 2018.
