Description

The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position in the sociology of race, ethnicity, nation (REN) at the rank of assistant professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2019. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have an active research agenda and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and service. The department is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, writing samples, and syllabi (if available). In addition, candidates should submit statements on research and teaching. Candidates are encouraged to submit an optional Statement of Contributions to Diversity. Three letters of recommendation are required.
