Sociology of Immigration/Migration
The Department of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the sociology of immigration/migration at the level of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2020. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Sociology or related field, an active research agenda related to one or more of the following areas: immigration/migration in the Americas and/or Latinx sociology, and a strong commitment to quality teaching that complements one or more of the Department’s core areas of strength. Scholars using all methodological approaches are welcome to apply. This position represents part of the university’s social science priority initiative to attract and prepare a new generation of immigration scholars at UCSB and the Department of Sociology’s effort to build its strength in Latinx Sociology.
