Description
The Technology Management Program at UC Santa Barbara is seeking applications for an Assistant Specialist position with an anticipated start date in January 2020. This position will be 50% time for one year with a possibility of renewal for one more year based on funding and need.
The Research project that this position will be working on is to develop and test a mathematical dynamic method calculating and visualizing the growth of companies including sustainability aspects. The research will include (1) collecting data through surveys and/or interviews, (2) literature review of relevant economic and entrepreneurship research, and (3) analysis of data, including startup performance (for example, financial growth, jobs growth, corporate sustainability).
The minimum qualification is a Master's Degree at time of application. Preferred qualifications include having experience conducting research in entrepreneurship topics or research experience in strategic management. Preference will be given to applicants with research interests in new firms, intellectual property commercialization, startup capitalization and operations. Successful candidates will demonstrate competencies indicating that they will be able to enable, plan, or execute research alongside TMP faculty.
