Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach undergraduate or graduate ECE courses. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department and the availability of funding. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends upon qualifications.

The minimum requirement for a qualified applicant is a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, and at least one year of teaching experience by the time of application. Preferred qualifications are a Ph.D. and experience in directing student projects is desirable. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position.
