The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of temporary lecturer positions for possible upcoming openings. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the Department’s needs. Positions may range from 33% (1 course) to 100% time (3 courses).

Courses may address topics in the following fields:
East Asian Performing Arts
East Asian Cultural Studies
Korean Cultural Studies
East Asian Religions
East Asian Popular Culture
Japanese Language
Chinese Language
Korean Language

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in a field relevant to the topics listed at time of application. The salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
