Position description

Reports to: Dr. Andrew Fedders, TEP Interim Director

Applications are invited for possible openings for temporary summer part-time lecturer position at the University of California, Santa Barbara to teach ED 330, Writing Project Approaches to Teaching Composition, K-College in the Teacher Education Program. Salary is based on UCSB salary scales, and the appointment is limited to the length of the course. Reappointment in subsequent summers is possible.

Instructors are expected to attend all class sessions, read, respond, and evaluate student assignments, and assign grades adhering to all department guidelines. Additionally, instructors are expected to attend all course planning meetings.

Qualifications:
Required: Fellow of the South Coast Writing Project (SCWriP) or affiliation with any National Writing Project site or California Subject Matter Project at the time of application
Preferred: Varied teaching experience in K-12 settings
Preferred: California Teaching Credential
