The Department of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified Junior Specialists to conduct research in all our disciplines including Astrophysics and Cosmology, Biophysics, Condensed Matter Experimental Physics, Condensed Matter Theory, High Energy Experimental Physics, High Energy Theory, Gravity and Relativity and Mathematical Physics. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from part-time to 100% time. Positions may also be for 1 year or less than 1 year.

Appointees at this level enable research as part of a team.

Qualified applicants must possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related science field at the time of application. Preferred qualifications: At least 2 years of previous research experience in Physics or closely science related field.
