The Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturer position(s) for the 2020-21 academic year. Courses needed may include a large lower-division lecture course on Art of the Ancient Americas or Chinese Art; an upper division course on Classical Art or Archaeology, or Chinese Art. The fields to be taught may include the following:
Pre-Columbian, Ancient Art/Archaeology and Chinese Art (Early to Modern), African Art/Arts of the Diaspora.

Basic qualifications: An MA in the History of Art/Architecture or a related field, and more than one year of teaching experience. Preferred qualifications: A PhD in History of Art and Architecture or a related field is desirable. Interested candidates should include a letter of application which clearly indicates which course or courses best fit their qualification; CV; Course Syllabi; and the names and telephone/email addresses for three professional references. Teaching evaluations are optional; if not provided with the initial application, they may be requested at a later time.
