TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF THEATER AND DANCE
Areas of specialization: Technique (ballet, modern, street dance, gaga, hip hop and/or jazz), Music for Dance, Embodied Anatomy, Choreography/Improvisation (JPF01940)

The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for temporary teaching positions on an ongoing basis. Temporary appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. The department is currently recruiting for spring and summer of the 2020-21 academic year, and fall and winter of 2021-2022. Applicants must possess an MFA degree in Dance or related field that is relevant to the teaching specialization they are applying for, or 5 years equivalent professional experience in Dance or related field at time of application. College or University teaching experience is desired. At least five years teaching experience in applicable specialty (dance technique, music for dance, embodied anatomy, choreography/improvisation) is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
