The Department of Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, (EEMB; www.eemb.ucsb.edu) invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses in Ecology, Evolution and Physiology during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 academic years and Summer 2021. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Main duties will include teaching first courses in general ecology and evolution, with the possibility of occasional upper-division teaching opportunities. Applicants should have at least an MA or MS (Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences or a closely related field, at the time of application and teaching experience at the college level of at least a quarter. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position.
