TEMPORARY LECTURER POSITIONS
UCSB Department of Feminist Studies

The Department of Feminist Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach feminist studies courses in the Feminist Studies Department for upcoming openings. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from 33% to 100% time.

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and mentoring. We strongly encourage applicants to submit an optional Statement of Contributions to Diversity. These statements, if submitted, will be reviewed for evidence of teaching and mentoring contributions that promote diversity and equal opportunity, such as effective strategies used for the educational advancement of students in various under-represented groups through teaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in feminist/women's/gender studies or a related interdisciplinary field and a minimum of one year of teaching or equivalent experience at the time of application.

Preferred qualifications

Preference given to applicants with Ph.D. in Feminist Studies/Women's Studies/Gender Studies, and should demonstrate research and teaching interests in the intersections of race, class, gender, global feminisms and cultural diversities.
