The Chemical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking applications as part of an external search for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position
At a minimum, applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) except the dissertation (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field by time of appointment as Assistant Professor.
Clear evidence of important intellectual contributions and vision for impactful new areas of research in the general area of chemical engineering disciplines.
Cover Letter - (limited to 2 pages) containing the following four elements: (1) most significant research accomplishment as a graduate student; (2) most significant research accomplishment as a postdoc (if applicable); (3) overall goals/vision for a research program at our institution; and (4) experience and qualifications that make you particularly well-suited to achieve those goals.
