The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of computer engineering.
Applicants with a wide range of interests in Computer Engineering and Science are encouraged to apply. Research areas related to machine learning/AI, quantum computing, alternative computing, hardware design and architectures are of particular interest. Prospective candidates emphasizing interdisciplinary research are highly encouraged to apply.
The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field except the dissertation at the time of application.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop a highly successful independent research program and the potential to participate effectively in the teaching of Computer Engineering curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
