The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a full time Assistant Project Scientist with an anticipated start date June 15th, 2022.
The Assistant Project Scientist will lead a project together with PI Han on the mechanistic studies of DNP and develop novel approaches and applications of DNP-enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physics, with at least three years of postdoctoral researcher experience at the time of application.
The expectation is that the Assistant Project Scientist has expertise in quantum mechanical simulations, spin physics of magnetic resonance, NMR and DNP experiments as demonstrated by publications and conference presentations.
