Position description

The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies, University of California Santa Barbara, invites applications for our part-time lecturer pool. The number of positions open varies from quarter to quarter. Positions are open until filled, contingent on availability of funding and enrollment. We accept applications for all areas of our curriculum. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

-For PhD and EdD applicants, Must have completed all requirements for the PhD and EdD except the dissertation at time of application.
-For MFA applicants: Must have completed all requirements for MFA except the thesis at time of application.
-For JD applicants: Must have completed all requirements for JD except the final year of coursework at time of application.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

-Terminal degree (Ph.D, Ed.D., J.D. or M.F.A.) in Chicana/o Studies or related field by the time of the appointment.

Preferred qualifications

-Teaching experience in Chicana/o Studies, Latina/o Studies, or Ethnic Studies (1 or more terms).
