Position title: Lecturer, Lighting DesignPosition description
University of California Santa Barbara, Department of Theater and Dance seeks an accomplished educator/theater artist to teach Lighting Design and potentially design lights for a departmental production. Courses consist of instruction in the elements and principles of lighting design for both theater and dance performance.
Work will be in person on the UCSB campus; compensation will not include travel and housing expenses. Information about the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance is available through the Department’s web page: http://www.theaterdance.ucsb.edu/
The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.

Qualifications
1) An MFA degree in related field, or 2) 5 years professional experience in lighting design.
College or university teaching experience preferred.
