The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara is seeking applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the field of Computer Engineering with a start date of Fall quarter, 2014.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop a highly successful independent research program, and participate effectively in the teaching of Computer Engineering curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Applicants with a wide range of interests in Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply while research areas in systems design and architecture will be given higher priority. Prospective candidates who wish to pursue interdisciplinary research efforts are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications must include: resume; cover letter; statement of teaching philosophy; brief (3-page limit) statement of research interests; and at least three reference letters.
