Position description

The Department of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a position in immigration at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek a colleague who will increase the Department’s graduate and undergraduate teaching capacity in quantitative methods, and we are particularly interested in scholars of Latin American immigration. The ideal candidate will have an active research agenda, a strong commitment to quality teaching, and a substantive research agenda that complements one or more of the Department’s areas of strength. We especially encourage applications from candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service.
