DESCRIPTION
The Program in Latin American and Iberian Studies (LAIS) at UC Santa Barbara invites applications for possible temporary Lecturer positions (part-time or full-time) for the 2014-2015 academic year, should vacancies appear. Appointments will vary in percentage of time and will range from one quarter to one year, and from one course up to a maximum of nine courses a year, with the limited possibility of reappointment dependent on performance, departmental needs and funding.
Applicants should possess a minimum of a Doctoral degree in humanities or social science discipline relating to Latin American Studies or equivalent degree and at least one year of teaching experience in a college or university. The Program is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
