Assistant Project Scientist position in the Neuroscience Research Institute
Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2016
Salary: Based on UCSB Project Scientist series salary table
Position Description:
A position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kenneth Kosik to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of pluripotency. Minimum qualifications: A doctoral degree in molecular and cellular biology or related field is required. Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an extensive and excellent record of research in stem cell biology, imaging technology and molecular biology.
Salary Range: Approximately $54k per year, commensurate with experience. Initial appointment is for one year, full time with benefits. Continuation beyond one year will be based on performance and availability of funding.
