Position description

The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara seeks applications for three Lecturer positions during summer session B which begins August 01, 2016 and ends on September 10, 2016. Each of the three instructors will teach a 2 week module in MCDB 161L, Research Immersion in Molecular Biosciences. Each instructor will develop an instructional laboratory module based on their own research interests. Candidates with training and experience in the molecular, cellular, or developmental biology are sought. Previous post-doctoral experience is preferred, but recent PhD graduates will also be considered. Effective date August 1, 2016. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in molecular or cellular biosciences or a closely related field and be currently working as a postdoctoral scholar or senior research scientist in an active UCSB research laboratory.
