Open Rank Associate or Full Professor in Chicana/o-Latina/o Literary and Cultural Studies, appointed as the Erickson Presidential Chair in English

Description:

We seek a scholar in Chicano/a - Latina/o Literary Studies and Cultural Studies. The candidate selected for the position will be appointed as the Robert and Liisa Erickson Presidential Chair in English which carries with it a generous annual research/programming budget as well as funding to recruit and/or support graduate students through fellowships.

We seek a candidate who privileges a revitalized civic engagement as the cornerstone of the humanities in the 21stC, who focuses on print, digital, or expressive cultures within local, transnational, cross-border, or hemispheric geographies. Areas of interest may include Chicano/a-Latina/o Literatures with possible specializations in migration; (un) documentation and social justice; performance and performativity; human rights; and/or race, ethnicity and indigeneity.
