Position description

The University of California, Santa Barbara seeks to hire a highly creative and productive individual to fill the Duncan and Suzanne Mellichamp Chair in Process Control, starting July 1, 2018 or later. This academic appointment will be in Chemical Engineering, although joint appointments will also be considered. We seek outstanding individuals with clear evidence of important intellectual contributions in the general area of control and related systems engineering disciplines. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. This is an external search for a tenure-track to tenured position and is open to candidates of any rank.
