Lecturer, Teacher Education Program (TEP)
Reports to: Dr. Andrew Fedders, TEP Director
Positions: Open until filled
Primary Consideration: January 31, 2018

Applications are invited for possible openings for temporary part-time lecturer positions at the University of California, Santa Barbara to teach courses in the Teacher Education Program. Appointments are variable in terms of percentage time and may be from one quarter to one year, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary is based on UCSB salary scales.

Responsibilities:
Instructors are expected to attend all class sessions, read and evaluate student assignments, and assign grades adhering to all department deadlines. Additionally, instructors are expected to attend all program faculty meetings, faculty retreats, and participate in the local evaluation of the State required teaching performance assessment (edTPA for UCSB).

Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Education or related field
• Minimum of one quarter/semester of teaching experience at the college level
• Preferred: Experience working in teacher education or K-12 education
• Preferred: Familiarity with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP) and TeacherPerformance Expectations (TPE)
