Description

The Department of Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary Lecturers to teach courses in Political Science for anticipated positions for Summer Session 2018 and possibly into the 2018-19 academic year (Fall 2018, Winter 2019 and Spring 2019). Screening of applicants for all appropriate vacancies is ongoing and will continue as needed, with the possibility of future reappointment based on performance and department need.

The part time position(s) are for one or more courses in the subfields of American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Quantitative Methods.

The minimum requirement to be considered an applicant is the completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. except the dissertation (ABD status) in Political Science or a closely related field at the time of application. Ph.D. degree conferral must be expected by September 2018. A minimum of one year teaching experience at the University or college level is required.
