The Chemical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking applications as part of an external search for two tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a start date of July 1, 2019 or later. At a minimum, applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) except the dissertation at the time of application. Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field by time of appointment as Assistant Professor.
Application packages should include a completed CV, contact information for 3-5 references, and a cover letter (limited to 2 pages) containing the following four elements: (1) most significant research accomplishment as a graduate student; (2) most significant research accomplishment as a postdoc (if applicable); (3) overall goals/vision for a research program at our institution; and (4) experience and qualifications that make you particularly well-suited to achieve those goals.
