Position description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary research Assistant/Associate Project Scientist positions. This is a pooled recruitment, and appointments are subject to availability of funding and departmental needs, and may be part-time or full-time. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed through October 31, 2020. The pool will close on October 31, 2020; if you would like to continue to be considered after that time, and the pooled position is advertised again, you will need to submit a new application.

Assistant/Associate Project Scientists enable significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project. At the time of application they must possess a doctorate degree (or equivalent degree) in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field: Bioengineering and Systems Biology; Computational Science and Engineering; Dynamic Systems, Controls, and Robotics; Micro/Nanoscale Systems; Solid Mechanics, Structures, & Materials; Thermofluid Sciences and Fluid Mechanics.

A research record or demonstrate potential in the areas of: Bioengineering and Systems Biology; Computational Science and Engineering; Dynamic Systems, Control and Robotics; Micro and Nanoscale Engineering; Solid Mechanics, Structures and Materials; and Thermalfluid Sciences and Fluid Mechanics, is preferred.
