Position description
UCSB’s Bren School invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturers who can teach one or more graduate-level courses for master’s students pursuing professional degrees in Environmental Data Science, Ethics and Bias in Environmental Data Science and/or Environmental Science and Management. Areas of instruction may include Environmental Data Science, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Planning, Environmental Risk Management, Coastal/Marine Resources Management, Energy and Climate, Applied Population Ecology, Landscape Ecology, Biogeochemistry, Environmental Economics, Business and Sustainability, Environmental Entrepreneurship, Environmental Communication, and Environmental Negotiation. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The availability of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from 17-33% time for one quarter. Appointments are variable percentage (generally ) with the possibility of an annual reappointment. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications
Applicants must have at least (1) a Master's Degree or (2) a Bachelor's Degree and three years of work experience in the environmental field.
PhD in a relevant field and some teaching experience is preferred.
Training and experience teaching in the relevant field.
