Position description

The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for a Lecturer teaching position during the 2024-2025 Academic Year for "Introduction to Stage Management for Undergraduates".

Work will be in person on the UCSB campus. Reimbursement for travel and housing expenses will not be provided. Information about the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance is available through the Department’s web page: http://www.theaterdance.ucsb.edu/
The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of a Tier 1 Research University through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position. Salary is standard, based on the UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

MFA in Theater, or a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as either a stage manager or college / university teacher of stage management.

Preferred qualifications

Actors' Equity Membership for Stage Management, LORT experience
