The K-16 Coordinator is a full-time academic coordinator position that provides direct support to the Southern Central Coast Region, which includes San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties, to develop, align and improve pathways programs that combine academics, career technical education, work based learning, and comprehensive student support. The appointment will be through June 30, 2027.
The UCSB Office of Education Partnerships (OEP) mission is to increase the college-going rates of students who are underrepresented, low-income and/or those who will be the first in their families to pursue higher education. OEP’s vision is to promote inclusive and adaptive initiatives as well as strategic partnerships with university, school, community, and industry, such that more educationally underserved students will attend and thrive in college.

The Coordinator will formulate policies and procedures as it relates to each program support and services as well as provides leadership for developing and advancing short and long term program goals and strategies. Finally, the Coordinator will ensure compliance with mandated program requirements, represent the program internally and externally, develop and manage the operating budget, and supervise K-16 program staff.
Under the direction of the OEP Executive Director, the K-16 Coordinator will have responsibilities including, but not limited to:
