Position description
The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies, University of California Santa Barbara, invites applications for our part-time lecturer pool. The number of positions open varies from quarter to quarter. Positions are open until filled, contingent on availability of funding and enrollment. We accept applications for all areas of our curriculum. Please consult the General Catalog for a list of Chicana and Chicano Studies Department courses.
The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position.

Qualifications
At a minimum, applicants must be enrolled in a terminal degree program (Ph.D, Ed.D., J.D. or M.F.A.) in Chicana/o Studies or related field at the time of application.
Applicants must have their terminal degree conferred by the time of appointment.
Teaching experience in Chicana/o Studies, Latina/o Studies, or Ethnic Studies (1 or more terms).
