Position duration: The appointment is limited to the length of the course.

Position description

Applications are invited for possible openings for part-time lecturers at the University of California, Santa Barbara to teach in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology. Appointments are variable in terms of percentage time, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary is based on UCSB salary scales.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A master’s degree in clinical, counseling, school, educational, or general psychology or a related field by the time of application.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

At least one quarter or semester of college-level teaching experience.
A doctoral degree in applied psychology is required for those teaching practicum courses.

Preferred qualifications

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology or a closely related field.
Experience with counseling, clinical or school psychology practices, and student supervision.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching or clinical practice.
