Position description

The Department of Computer Science at the University of California invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist to be part of the research team of Dr. Cetin Koc in the areas of analog electronics as applied to random number generators; chaotic circuits analysis and design techniques; design, analysis, and random number generators, cryptographic hardware design; reconfigurable hardware design.
The Assistant Project Scientist will work on research projects related to design and implementation of electronic voting machines. The position will range between 45% to 65% time. The initial appointment will be for one year.
Starting Annual Salary: $74,300.00
Basic qualifications: The minimum qualifications required to be an applicant are a PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Additional qualifications: Previous experience demonstrating significant, original, and creative contributions to a research project in the field of analog electronics, chaotic and oscillator circuits, design and implementation of random number generators, cryptographic hardware design, reconfigurable hardware design.
Also required, previous experience in an industrial setting.
